Remember

I'm not doing a very good job at recording my two-year-old's progress here. There's generally been a lot of fun interaction and not a whole lot of time for musing and blogging.
Today at the dog park, it was the biggest leap I've heard him make with his imagination. He was calling the roots of this tree "crocodiles". I thought he was absolutely genius.
Then we played outside with chalk, and the mosquitos were coming out. Playing with chalk INSIDE was amazing to him.
I don't think I can overstate how much Noah loves "gu-shash". This is the word he has used for many months to describe using the YouTube kids app. We have no idea why this is the word, but the struggle against screen time is a real one around here. Password protection is a major help, but it's still amazing to me that he could and would sit and gushash for an hour if I'd let him.
He's sleeping through the night by himself! Woo hoo! He's been taking shorter naps, but generally sleeping from 9pm-6am by himself and then I go lay with him for morning snuggles until I have to get ready for work.
Buddy loves dinosaurs, trains, cars, and tractors (he also still loves puzzles, but no longer calls them "bagush"). I did not teach him these things nor did we specifically expose him to these things over stuffed animals or books. He just gravitates towards things that are big and/or mechanical and I think that's kind of cool.

As for the rest of life, Shin and I are still managing to keep ND home with us while we work (me: part-time), church, and live life where God has us.
